Riding The Thin Line

Back in stock. Very necessary reissue of DJ Bone's 1999 Metroplex offering Riding The Thin Line, bit of an unsung classic of Detroit techno/electro's third wave (?). 'Shut The Lites Off' is a kind of stripped-back ghetto-house noir, its belligerent tribal drum choppage and vocal lick buoyed by a swell of dark dreamy string pads, while 'The Funk' offers a mesmerisingly tuff and focussed take on 313 electro...but it's the sultry warehouse flex of 'The Haunting' that, well, haunts you. You'll regret not picking this up.
