Madly prolific, barely a week goes by without a new 12" from one-man jungle revival Coco Bryce, and the quality is always confoundingly high: check his recent-ish offerings on Fresh 86 and 7th Storey Projects for brilliant, belligerent proof. On this latest on he a partakes of a different, more subdued mode of breakbeat worship: rolling, shark-eyed and stripped-down drumfunk that hits that sweet-spot between downtempo Photek and more recent Nucleus/Paradox type tackle. It just cuts through everything else.
